Mandos MessageReal Food Challenge (RFC):  In Spring 2014, Denver Dining became a signatory of DU’s Real Food Challenge Commitment to purchase 20% local, fair, ecologically sound or humane food, what is called ‘Real Food’, by 2020. This commitment became a reality through the collaboration between DU’s Center for Sustainability, Students for Sustainable Food, Denver Dining by Sodexo and University of Denver’s Administration. Although having 20% Real Food by 2020 is an important goal for Denver Dining, we want to bring you Real Food Now! That is why it’s Denver Dining’s goal is to reach 12% Real Food by the end of the 2015/2016 school year!

FRN LogoFood Recovery Network (FRN): At the end of the 2014-15 school year, Denver Dining started collaborating with DU’s FRN Chapter. It is an official student organization that recovers leftover’s from DU’s catering events and dining halls and donates them to a local hunger organization.
